Our first adventure is to make our way to the famed Pribilof Islands (the "Pribs") on a 3-hour flight out of Anchorage. The Pribs are known for their amazing concentrations for seabirds, and one of the specialities of the islands is the Red-legged Kittiwake. This rare gull is endemic to the Bering Sea. It appears to do much of its foraging at night, as is suggested by its large eyes.
