Field Guides leader: MEGAN CREWE

“This was my first experience outside the US.  The overall tour experience was excellent.  I’d travel with Megan again in a heartbeat.”  C.N., SUMMER COSTA RICA 2007

Megan Crewe has been birding since early childhood, when she and her father discovered together the joy of putting names to the birds of their local parks.  She joined Field Guides in 1997, finally—after years spent in jobs ranging from park ranger and science teacher to freelance writer and computer programmer—getting the chance to put her Purdue University biology degree to good use.  Since then, she’s delighted in sharing the wonders and adventures of birding and the natural world with participants from around the globe.  When she’s not off traveling the world, Megan spends her time in England’s Norfolk County, where she settled after marrying Mike Crewe, a tour leader for Limosa Holidays.  There, amid coastal wetlands and agricultural fields, she’s serving on her town’s environmental committee and learning much about England’s avifauna through participation in breeding and wintering bird surveys.
