| Hello, birders! We're halfway through spring, and what a busy stretch of travel and birding it's been.  If you recall our January e-mailing you know that the Field Guides team pulled out an exciting last-minute win along a route in southern Peru. Well, we'll be at it again in May, fielding a team of four: Rose Ann Rowlett, Richard Webster, Marcelo Padua, and Terry Stevenson. Guide Chris Benesh is featured in a fun interview on the Leica Traveling Trinovid blog by Jennie Duberstein with some insights into how Chris got started birding and some of his favorite moments in the field.
The Top 100 EDGE Birds features the most evolutionarily distinct and globally endangered birds on earth, many of which we see on our tours around the globe and whose conservation is a key priority.
